tackling and giggling

Here are a few snapshots into life at the Watson household.  Every night Greer and Daddy "tackle" before bed.  It looks a little more like WWF but still hilarious.  Daddy better watch out...eventually Greer is going to get big enough to do some damage!

The second video is of Brecken laughing at Greer.  There is just something about that Greer that gets her everytime.  There is nothing like a silly big brother!

daddy's little girl

Most people already think Brecken favors Geoff but these pictures definitely prove it!  I think the resemblance is uncanny.  Let me know what you think!

Easely Amused

Last week, Sara and I went to Easely Amused. It is a instructor led painting class. We did a painting called "Going to the Chapel". We may not be Picasso but I was proud of us! It was so much fun and just so nice to do something creative! Thanks, Sara! We need to do it again soon!

morning stroll

Some pictures of our day today.

Morning stroll.

the first of many sports played...

Greer literally takes this ball everywhere right now.  It is a game ball of his cousin, Clay.  Greer loves it!  He sets it next to his bed when he sleeps because I won't let him sleep with it!

Searching for the ball....it landed in the bushes alot.

live action

Here are a few videos from recent days.  The first is of Brecken just smiling while sitting on the couch and the second is Brecken initially talking and then Greer comes in and gives her some "advise".  Love them!

PS. You will have to stop the blog music to hear them, just scroll down and a little way down on the right you will find the playlist and a stop button.

4 months!

Sweet baby girl is 4 months old!  We went to the doctor today and she looked great.
Her stats were:
15 lbs
25.50 inches
39.50 cm (head circ)

She is a happy girl!  Always smiling, very social, and very bright-eyed!  She is sleeping through the night, usually from around 8:30pm to 7am.  Still nursing every 3 hours during the day.  Teething and drooling like crazy (expecting teeth anytime now).  She has started watching Greer constantly and smiling the whole time.  She has started rolling onto her side from her back.  Unfortunately, no more laying her just anywhere:(  She is trying to sit up already.  The girl does not like to lay down because she can't see everything...therefore is determined to sit up.  She coos all the time.  Wants to be held constantly (but who doesn't).  And lastly, she is absolutely the spitting image of Geoff at this age.  I love her so much and am so thankful for 4 amazing months as Brecken's mama!

Her hair has a mind of its own.

Cool weather has made it to Jackson, therefore the hoodie and pants making an appearance.  Who knew 80 could feel so cool?

Big brother loving on his sister.

 Happy!

Trying to sit up by herself.

Rolling onto her side.  Usually she is looking for Greer.  This time she found herself!

Tummy time!

travels

We have been out of town for what seems like a month but was actually only about 2 weeks. It was an amazing time though and a wonderful way to finish off the summer.  We went to Nashville for Quinn and Bradley's wedding first.  It was absolutely beautiful!  Then, the kiddos and myself stayed in Nashville for the week and Geoff came back to Jackson to work.  We enjoyed a relaxing week of hanging out with family and friends.  We went to the pool several times, which Greer loved!  Sadly, I did not take a single picture during our time in Nashville:(  Greer was in heaven though, getting to spend time with his many cousins and new found friends.  We miss you all!    Then, at the end of the week, Geoff came and picked us up and we ventured onto Knoxville for Geoff's 10 year high school reunion and some family time with the Watsons.  The reunion was a huge success.  Geoff loved every minute of it!  While we were in Knoxville, we had some visitors from South Carolina.  Grandmother, Uncle Steve, Aunt Susan, and Geoff's cousin Jennifer all came in town to meet Brecken.  We had a wonderful time catching up with them and were so thankful they made the trip.  Overall, the trip was wonderful and the kids did amazing.  We, of course, are happy to be home but will miss everyone terribly.

Jennifer and Brecken (sorry we didn't get a picture of Steve and Susan)

A picture of Greer's boo boo...he banged his head against our metal bed frame...there was a lot of blood and a lot of crying from both Greer and myself.  Thank goodness Geoff was home to take care of Greer. Thankfully he didn't need stitches.  Daddy put some steri-strips on it with a Cars band-aid on top and had one very satisfied patient.  Thanks, Daddy!!

Lastly, here is a picture from Labor Day.  We went to Pump it Up and mexican with the Robertsons.  This is Geoff, Greer, Rob, and Colt all going down the big slide.  I am pretty sure the dads had as much fun as the kiddos.
