Down South- Naples

Getting the grand tour of Mimi's garden. 

On the Naples Pier.  Greer was actually given the opportunity to kick a fish back into the water, instead he just starred at it while it flapped around until the fisherman (the one who caught it), feeling humane, gave the fish a swift kick back into the gulf.

This is Geoff trying one of the many new foods he sampled while in Naples.  He tried papaya, lychee, starfruit, and this one pictured, a black sapote (aka chocolate pudding fruit)

 The rest of the pictures are at the beach...so much fun!  It was Greer's first time at the beach since he was a 3 month old baby.  I'd say he had a little more fun this go around.  Brecken also had a great time crawling around.  She had no fear and wasn't the slight bit detered by the sand or water.  

 Lastly, some sweet family pics.  Naples is a beautiful place!  Thank you, Mimi for an amazing trip!

Our trip down south...Orlando

This is a picture of Greer relaxing watching "Bob the Builder" and enjoying the ride.  He wasn't always this content but of course is the only time we took a picture.  After 32 hours of drive time Greer and Brecken both had their share of meltdowns.  In Orlando, we stayed at the amazing Buena Vista Resort (thanks to an amazing discount by Sharon).  We enjoyed swimming (Brecken's first time in the pool!) and playing.  There was a play zone for kids and yummy food.  We relaxed and got a nice break from driving.  Our time in Orlando was amazing and I wish we had more pics but I was having too much fun enjoying it myself.  One of our afternoons in Orlando we drove to Winter Springs (my old stomping ground) and drove around a bit.  The pictures below are from those adventures.

After getting the grand tour of Tuskawilla and driving past my old house on Sybilwood, we stopped at the Trotwood park to play.  This is the park I played at as a child.  It is just behind my old house and I can still remember walking and riding my bike to it.  It has changed a lot in the past 20 years, yikes, but it still is a great park!  Being in Winter Springs was so fun.  I loved seeing that although it has changed, it is still the same place I remember and loved!  Uncle Todd met up with us at the park and he got to hang out with us and then took us to the yummiest pizza place for dinner.  We loved seeing you Todd!!

 Later in the day, we went to one of my favorite spots as a child, the "duck park".  I have so many great memories around this place.  It has an official name that I don't recall since we always called it the "duck park".  As a child my dad and I would go with a loaf of bread and feed the ducks.  Unfortunately, we didn't have any bread but instead improvised with some crackers.  Greer loved feeding the ducks and I loved taking a ride down memory lane.  

Cowboys and horses

 We went to the Dixie National Rodeo on Feb 12th with the Robertson family.  Greer loved the horses especially but thought the bulls were "kinda scary".  We got to see some barrel racing, bull riding, calf roping and more.  Greer had a blast and is now asking for a cowboy hat!  We may have a cowboy on our hands!  

Our Valentine's day was very low key but Greer did manage to make some valentines for some of his favorite people.  I just can't get enough of that sweet handprint.

 Greer loves music right now!  The trumpet is his favorite.  He stomps around the house yelling, "I marching, mama!"
